Terms and Conditions – Domestic Customers

  1. All quotations are valid for 28 days, after which prices are subject to change. Service availability will be confirmed at the time of booking.
  2. All work undertaken will be agreed prior to the start date and will be completed by Elegant Lawn Care unless otherwise agreed.
  3. All work quoted includes all labour and materials. We operate on a price per job basis, so the price you see is the price you pay unless you add additional services after the price has been agreed.  Any additions should be agreed prior to work commencing or as an additional job quotation after work has commenced.
  4. All prices unless otherwise stated exclude the removal of green waste (grass cuttings, raked lawn thatch etc). Disposal of green waste is charged as an extra, per bag (approx. 110 litre capacity), per visit.  We advise taking advantage of your local authorities garden waste collection service as a more cost effective way of disposing of your green waste. 
  5. We are only able to remove green waste produced as part of one of our services.
  6. You will allow access to the site during Elegant Lawn Care’s normal operating hours (Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturdays 10am to 4pm). Should access not be available on the date of a scheduled appointment, where at least 48 hours notice has not been given to advise of access limitations. We reserve the right to charge for the appointment in full.
  7. Elegant Lawn Care are not able to accept responsibility for any damage to any underground hazards, obstructions or services that we have not been made aware of.
  8. Adverse weather, including drought, lightning or severe rain may cause a delay to visits. Any change will not affect any quoted price.  However me may have to return on an alternative date to the one originally booked to either start a job or to complete work already started.
  9. Each summer we take a short break to recharge our batteries (not those of our mowers). We appreciate that this will disrupt scheduled mowing services for customers but we do offer optional alternative dates for mowing either side of our break on the Sundays before and after to help keep your lawns looking fantastic whilst we are away.
  10. As much as we love your four legged friends and those that call by to visit, we are unable to carry out work where excrement is present on your lawn. This is your responsibility to remove prior to our visit.  Where excrement is still present and unable to be removed by you at the time of our visit we will be unable to complete the scheduled work. A charge to cover costs of £15 will be made for the visit.
  11. Any pets if outside must be kept away from where we are working. Ideally they should be kept indoors whilst we are working on site but appreciate that this may not always be possible.
  12. Any moveable obstacles will be removed prior to the commencement of grass cutting and replaced as near as possible when complete. Where grass has been flattened under obstacles, it may not be possible to cut the grass to the same height as the rest of your lawn and this may later appear to be an area missed during cutting due to it appearing to be longer grass. Unfortunately this cannot be avoided without obstacles being removed from the lawn 24 – 48 hours in advance of our visit to allow the grass chance to return to its natural position.
  13. Lawns unless otherwise requested, are cut to industry recommended height levels.
  14. Following lawn renovation, scarification and seasonal lawn treatments, regular watering may be required. Any requirement will be advised following the treatment. It is your responsibility to follow these requirements. Issues such as grass seeds not germinating, new turf shrinking, or fertilizer burns to your lawn may occur if not correctly followed.
  15. Elegant Lawn Care do not work with pesticide application other than for the control of lawn weeds. We do offer fertilizers to promote lawn health and growth, which may be applied as part of a booked lawn care service subject to suitable weather conditions and will be applied in either a granular or sprayed form.  All spraying will be carried out by fully qualified Lantra and NPTC operators and in compliance with all statutory requirements.
  16. We will send an invoice for work completed after each visit.
  17. Payment terms are within 2 days of receipt of invoice. Payment should be made in full within 2 days unless paid by pre-arranged Go Cardless Direct Debit.  Late payments will forfeit any promotional price and may delay any future bookings.
  18. Accepted payments are : Cash (at time of visit), Credit or Debit Card, Paypal invoice link, Go Cardless (Direct Debit) and bank transfer.
  19. Prices for scheduled weekly and fortnightly work are valid for the work agreed up to the end of the calendar year. Prices for the following year will be reviewed during January of the year in which they apply, following which you will be invited to renew your bookings for that year.
  20. Elegant Lawn Care may take before and after photographs for use on our website or social media as well as to provide accurate quotes, dispute and complaint resolution and job completion reports. When photographs are used for marketing, we may mention the general area of the property but will never identify you, your property or the exact location of your property.  Please let us know if you would prefer for us not to document any work done at your property.
  21. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you have a legal right to cancel your order up to 14 days after you receive your goods. Any goods should be available for collection in an un-used, re sellable condition.
  22. Should you wish to cancel our service you can do this at any time but with a minimum of 48 hours notice before we are scheduled to visit. Simply notify us in writing, via email or using our website contact form.  If you have taken advantage of a promotional price a minimum number of lawn cuts may be required to avoid additional charge.
